Our Services

Daily Living Support
  • Pantry
  • We offer a paper product, cleaning products and a personal care item pantry. Anyone who has a need is welcome to use our pantry 2 times. After the 2nd visit the patron will be required to set up a budget counseling session through Neighborworks of the Black Hills. These sessions are offered to help people get on a brighter financial path. After they have visited with the counselor they will be able to use our pantry again. It is our desire to offer a hand up instead of a hand out.
  • Resources
  • If the Center of Hope is unable to provide for your needs, we will do our best to help you find resources to help you. Some of the agencies we work with include:
    -The Lords Cupboard, food pantry
    -The Salvation Army
    -Lawrence County Auditor
    -Department of Social Services
    -Twin City Clothing Center
    -Lead/Deadwood Ministerial Association
    -Local Churches
    -South Dakota Department of Labor
    -The Artemis House
    -Neighborworks of the Black Hills
  • Computer Lab w/internet access
  • We have a computer station which people can use to check email and/or do job searches.
  • Prayer Ministry
  • We believe every need can be taken to the Lord in prayer. We are always available at the BH Center of Hope to pray for you. If you, like so many, have been victimized, wounded or just plain been “slimed” by life you may need a special time of inner healing. These sessions may be set up by calling the BH Center of Hope or by contacting John Brice at The Summit Path, 605-484-2011.
  • Bible Studies
  • In order to offer nourishment to our Spirits we offer daily prayer and devotions at 7am and weekly Bible studies and on Wednesday evenings beginning with a meal at 6pm and Bible study at 7pm. This is a diverse group of people coming together with questions and to share life’s experiences with one another. These are non-denominational studies and all are welcome.
The Black Hills Center of Hope has helped me emmensly. They have provided food, meetings and friendship. I found a relationship with Jesus Christ here through Bible Studies and unconditional love. Their love for everyone who walks through the doors of the Center of Hope and for the people of this community is inspirational.
